Here we go again…another broken lamp.
I knew this would happen. Postal rates go up and eBay sellers try to save a buck by shipping in tiny boxes. I received a lamp today that was packed in a shoe box…a shoe box. What the hell? Does anyone really believe that vintage pottery can be safely shipped in a shoe box? Obviously one person does. If anyone isn’t clear as to the effort needed to safely ship pottery, particularly to me, why not read, Packing Lamps for Shipment. Please!

Not to single out UPS but when packing anything you want it to survive the trip which may involve this actual security clip. http://youtube.com/watch?v=xcIOy6XcM3s

Wow. You know, I think I’ve heard packages hurled at my door with similar zeal.
Thanks Mr T!

Sometimes I think that if you purchase insurance, the seller doesn’t worry so much about the packaging. Getting my money back is not the issue, I spent the money on a tv lamp I really, really wanted and to have it come in broken is horrible. I try not to spend my hard earned money on lamps I don’t care about!
