Originally called Royal Hickman Industries, this company was created by Royal Hickman in Chattanooga, Tennessee following his departure from Haeger Potteries. It was later purchased by Phil-Mar Corp. of Ohio and renamed Ceramic Arts, Inc. This company should not be confused with Ceramic Arts Studio that was based in Madison, Wisconsin.
