Royal Hickman is best known for his work at Haeger Potteries. In 1944 he left Haeger to start his own pottery, Hickman Industries, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a company that he operated for about 5 years. This planter/TV lamp is a product of Hickman Industries, and is marked Royal Hickman 328 on the bottom. On the back of the metalwork is a sticker proclaiming it approved by the City of Los Angeles. It is a striking chartreuse shade, with a white drip adding detail. There's a bit of tarnish to the plated metal, but it's in good shape over-all. The ceramic planter has no flaws!
