One of the less common designs from the Puccini Art Novelty Co., and in very good condition! The subject is a sharp-dressed woman (from Thailand? Persia?) on a throne and appearing to clap for her servants. The lamp is predominately off-white, with gold accents and skin tone detailing.
Chalkware TV lamps typically have their share of flaws, but I see no crumbling or chips on this one. I don't believe I've come across a chalkware lamp in better condition than this, with only the slightest paint wear to be seen. The fiberglass shade has been scorched by some imbecile (and I mean that in only the kindest way) using too hot a bulb, but the damage cannot be seen from the front. (it's behind the woman) It is 12 1/2" tall and 8" wide and the Puccini marking is clearly seen on the back. It's a beauty!
