Today Beachcomber Potteries is relatively obscure, in spite of the fact that they were responsible for the highly prized Lawrence Welk Accordion TV lamp. This particular ship design seems to have been tossed about by several makers, as a very similar style can be found that's by Marcia of California, and it can even be found in chalkware and in iron. This one however, is a Beachcomber product, and still wears their foil label. The glaze was done in a pale shade of green, and has an iridescent mother-of-pearl finish. The 22k gold detailing has suffered a bit of loss, but otherwise it's in great shape...no chips, cracks or repairs.
