The first design that Howard Kron created upon his arrival at Texans Incorporated was this stunning mallard. One of the largest (and heaviest) of all TV lamps, it is 16" tall, 12" wide, and 10½" deep. Too large and complex to cast as a single piece, the planter and duck were cast separately and fused together during firing. The Kron marking is found twice, on the planter and again on the duck. This one is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs, and minimal crazing.
