The main feature of B-category movies or just B-movies is low budget. There is no surprise that this genre originated in the USA in the 1930s because it was an extremely difficult time for the economy. As the usual standards of cinema are not applied to this category, the directors have an opportunity to use their imagination freely if it fits into low budget. Usually, the movies of this type do not reach the high quality and they are just a cheap entertainment, but sometimes the result exceeds all expectations. Some of these movies have gained popularity because they are extremely bad that just make you laugh. But others have unexpectedly become great examples of how it is possible to create great movies when you have talent. That is why we are introducing some notable movies of the category B.

Machete (2010)
The budget of this movie was not the smallest one in the history, but if we compare it to the usual prices of Hollywood movies, it still can be called cheap. It should also be mentioned that this project was joined by very popular actors, whose salaries costed a major part of the budget. Among other famous actors in the movie Machete were Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagale, and the main role was played by Danny Trejo. The plot of the movie is quite typical: the employers of the private killer try to kill him, but they fail, and then the killer begins to take revenge on them. But this standard one against everyone story on combat scenes simply shines with its absurdity. One of the craziest highlights could be the scene of shooting with a machine gun attached to a motorcycle. This movie is far away from what is called common sense, but it can be admited that the movie is an engaging and great way to spend a fun evening at home.

Bitch Slap (2009)
Rick Jacobson is the true master of the Category B TV series. Probably, many people remember such popular TV series as Hercules, Xena, and Baywatch, but not many viewers know that all these series were directed by the same person. In this movie, the style of Rick Jacobson is perfectly felt: three agents who get involved in shamelessly erotic fights when clothes are accidentally broken. The script of this movie is completely absurd and full of silly twists and turns of the plot, so there is no need to really think much while watching it. In addition, Lucy Lawless, who played Xena, and Kevin Sorbo, who played Hercules, also appear here for some scenes.

Iron Sky (2012)
In 1945, on the dark side of the moon, the Nazis set up a secret military base to prepare for another attempt to conquer the world in 2018. The sheer ambition to create such a story has gained the support of B-film fans. This movie is a parody from beginning to end, as a result, do not take anything too serious. While political humor sometimes is too strong, watching this nonsense is fun. By the way, the soundtrack of this movie is very good.
